What we collect

StudySnap extracts text content from the webpage you choose to scan. This text is sent to our secure server to generate study materials. We do not store this text after processing.

What we don't collect

We do not collect personal information, browsing history, cookies, or any identifying data. We do not require an account or login. We do not sell any data.

Data processing

When you click "Scan this page," the visible text content of the current webpage is sent to our API server, which processes it using AI to generate flashcards, quizzes, and summaries. The text is not stored after processing is complete.

Local storage

StudySnap stores only your daily scan count locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. No personal data is stored.

Third-party services

We use Anthropic's Claude AI to generate study materials. Text sent for processing is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
